THRIFTING IN BCN

Due to the economic situation, second hand markets are growing all over Europe. Following the steps of other European events of this type, Barcelona markets are becoming more and more popular.

Today I want to show you some vintage markets in Barcelona. Probably they are not the only ones, but are the most famous and popular.

Lost & found Barcelona
This market sells directly second hand items, from vintage clothing to books, music and old products. Access is free to everyone. The spring edition is sited on the Plaza del Mar in la Barceloneta, and in winter the event is in the Estació de França. The next market is next Sunday, 16th december.



Flea Market Barcelona

This is a market to sell second hand items in good condition and cheap price. They don’t allow the sale of crafts or manufacturing products. You can find it  at the Plaça Blanquerna del Raval. It’s a five years old market, that makes it the oldest vintage market in Barcelona, ​​equal that Lost & Found.

This is a monthly market that wants to help home sellers to share the stuff that is no longer used. It’s a good way to recycle, and economically viable for buyers.


Nostalgie
Nostalgie it’s a market with vintage clothing, jewelry and shoes at affordable prices. It’s installed once or twice a month at a bar or restaurant in the city. The next edition is December 21th in Hello Sushi Club, a Japanese lounge in the 14 Comerç St, close to the Gran Teatre Liceu.


Demanoenmanobcn
It’s a market held every month at different locations in the city. It’s divided in two parts: one is dedicated to recycling and the other to young artists. The next meeting is in January.
