I'd like to explain you what my loved catalan people did last Tuesday.
One and a half million  people took to the streets of Barcelona in the greatest  demonstration in the history of Catalonia with unanimous demands for independence, with the main theme "Catalonia, new state of Europe".
This event brings in serious danger territorial integrity of Spain, as it is very clear that most of the Catalan people, after more than 300 years under Spanish rule, wants to be a free country with an independent state. The fear of the Spanish Government has been demonstrated in an attempt to hide the huge media event, despite the coverage in international media.

You can read more about it here and here.

And of course, I was there!!

THE HAVANERAS

It's summer, and summer is the perfect time to sing a typical Catalan song, the havanera. The original havanera comes from Cuba. Many Catalan sailors went to Cuba during XIX century and returned to Catalonia with these traditional songs. People usually sing it near the see, at night. I let you this precious havanera singed by Silvia Perez Cruz in Calella de Palafrugell, a little town in the Costa Brava.

You can find more information in this web.
