STEWED MEAT FOR A SATURDAY

Last Saturday, we had a five stars meal: stewed meat! Because we can eat deliciuos recipes at home. This is one of the great things of visiting our parents!

Here is the recipe for four people:

1 kg of beef in pieces (beef to stew)
1 kg of potatoes


2 medium onions
2 carrots
1 green pepper
2 cloves of garlic
4 small tomatoes

2 bay leaves
1 sprig of thyme


1 dash of brandy
1 dash of anise
Oil, salt and pepper


We have two options, make the stew in the normal pot or in the pressure cooker. The first option takes more time.
Put salt and pepper on the meat and put it on the pot until it’s roast. Add the onions, carrots, peppers, garlic, tomatoes, all very chopped, and add the bay leaf and thyme. Mix it until everything is well roast. Add the brandy and once evaporated, ad the anise. Mix it well and add hot water to cover the meat. In the normal pot let it about one hour or more until the meat is soft. If we do it in the pressure cooker, once it begins to boil, let it in half an hour.


Add the peeled potatoes cut into cubes and let it boil for half an hour in the pot or five minutes at normal pressure cooker.






And that's it! The result is delicious! Oh, if you prefer, instead of potatoes, you can add rice. Cook the rice aside and put it on the base of the dish, then put the meat on the top.
